I think what has shaped me as a person is the fact that I grew up alone. Maybe not physically alone but feeling alone is always worse than being alone. I got bullied a lot as a kid. I guess I was just easy to pick on? I didn't know how to stand up for myself. I think I'm still not very great at that you know? My closest friend once told me what impresses him about me is not that I'm kind but the fact that I'm kind despite the vile shit that has been thrown at me in life. That has stuck with me. I won't say my experiences made me kind, I think I did that myself. But my experiences did show me what I don't want to be. I guess I'm doing good so far.
